Historical Wayside Shrines

At every turn: old wayside shrines and crosses.

Wayside Shrines

On your way through Deidesheim and its surroundings you will find lots of small religious memorials such as wayside shrines and stone crosses. The shrine at the “Grain” (northern outskirts) is particularly impressive. It dates from 1431 and depicts the crucifixion of Christ.
